We are an online magazine serving Morrison, Illinois and surounding areas.

Thecity1.com is an online community magazine focused on Morrison, Illinois and the immediate area. Originated in 1998, thecity1.com continues to expand coverage of Morrison area school sports, businesses, government, and daily issues of citizens.

Our offices are located at 218 West Main Street, Suite 100, Morrison, IL 61270.  Hours of business are Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. -  5:00 p.m.  We can be reached during business hours by phone at (815) 772-8718, or by fax at (815) 772-5682, or by email to Webmaster with the Contact form.

We are an independent news source.

Thecity1.com is a privately-owned, independent, online news outlet.  We receive no funding from local government or any  organizations. Our goal is to provide news, information, entertainment, and other services that interest the Morrison area community. We publish official press releases as a public service.  We provide links to the official websites of the city and county governments, as well as  the local school system.

Scope of our services:

Among other things, thecity1.com provides web page creation and maintenance services at relatively low cost. Also, we offer various advertising services on our main site, including banner ads, classifieds, business listings, and affiliate programs.
