A Scene of joining hands

Our community has been an enormously generous and caring place to live and work this week.

The untimely passing of young Katie Zuidema has seen the joining of hands and of hugs and tears thruout our community this week. Whether you knew Katie directly or not you still knew her because she was born here and raised by not only her Mom and Dad and sisters but by all of us...the Morrison community. The restaurant where Katie worked as a waitress was where we have all visited. The schools where Katie attended are the same as where some of us either attended and walked the same halls or had our own kids.Katie filled her car's gas tank at the same filling stations as any of us and she drove the same street's as we do.You might not have known Katie but in reality you really did know her because you helped shape her as a caring community.

Many of you have expressed your sympathies on our tribute page and Katie's family is so aware of your caring and many have stopped in to express thoughts and prayers for Katie and her family. Our community is saddened by the untimely passing of such a wonderful young girl and yet as you observe the community reacting you see the heartfelt emotion. Katie was part of us and we are saddened because she left us before we could finish helping to raise her as part of our community family.
