Whiteside County Community Health Clinic’ s 2008 Diabetes Awareness Day Series continues with a special program at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, March. 26. The program is free, and the information provided is for women. Guests are welcome.
Teresa Smith, RD, MS, CDE, Community Services Manager at CGH Medical Center, will talk about Physical Activity and Nutrition as it relates to Diabetes. The program will take place in CGH Medical Center’s Ryberg Auditorium, 100 E. LeFevre Rd., Sterling.
A light supper break will follow the presentation. There will be opportunities to visit various Awareness Booths and participate in a Table Talk Support Group. Other local health education opportunities for self-management will be shared as well.
The series is supported by a grant through the Illinois Department of Public Health, Office of Women’s Health.
