Morrison Police arrested Marty F. Prier, 47, Clinton, Iowa on March 18, 2008 at approximately 12:52 p.m. on a charge of Driving While Revoked. Prier was arrested in the 400 block of East Winfield Street after police received a report of a suspicious vehicle and persons rummaging through trash containers. Prier was incarcerated at the Whiteside County Law Enforcement Center in lieu of $100 cash bond. Prier is considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
Whiteside County State’s Attorney’s Office obtained a warrant for the arrest on Jane N. Buikema, 46, Morrison on March 19, 2008. Buikema was charged with forgery and burglary. The warrant was issued after the police department investigated a report from Fitzgerald’s Pharmacy that a prescription, submitted by a customer, had been forged. Bail on the warrant was set at $10,000. Buikema is considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
Anneliese E. Hohmeier, 27, Morrison reported that someone had stolen a wallet and compact disc from her car on March 22, 2008 at approximately 2:08 a.m. Hohmeier’s boyfriend confronted the suspect at the time of the incident. The suspect immediately fled on foot. The suspect is described as a white male, 5’ 10”, medium build, wearing blue jeans and a black hooded sweatshirt. The incident occurred in the 200 block of West Knox Street.
