Whiteside County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Mary E. Clark, 54, Morrison on May 6, 2008 at 3:05 p.m. for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and Improper Use of Turn Signal on Market Street near Genesee Street in Morrison. She was transported to the Whiteside County Sheriff Office for processing and later released on a Notice to Appear in Whiteside County Court on June 26, 2008 at 9 a.m. Deputies were assisted by the Morrison Police and Rick’s Towing of Morrison. This arrest is merely a charge, and Clark is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
Whiteside County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a single vehicle rollover traffic crash on May 8, 2008 at approximately 8:23 a.m. on US Rt 30 just west of Riverdale Road, rural Rock Falls. Upon arrival deputies learned that a Gold Star FS truck driven by Paul E. Engelkens, 57, Fenton lost control of the vehicle and entered the ditch on the south side of the roadway. The unit rolled onto its top before coming to rest. Mr. Engelkens was transported to CGH Medical Center for treatment of injuries. Passenger, Robert J. Scott, 44, Morrison refused treatment at the scene. Deputies were assisted by Rock Falls Fire and CGH EMS. No citations were issued.
