On Monday, October 17, 2011, the Morrison High School Filly Swim Team hosted JV swimmers from Rock Island, Rockford Christian, and Newman Catholic High Schools.  The Rockford Christian swimmers won the meet, followed by Morrison, Rock Island, and Newman.  The Morrison Filly swimmers placed as follows.

In the 200 yd medley relay the team of Liz Buckwalter, Michelle Nafziger, Amber Vegter, and Moriah Rightley placed second.

Brandi Hosford took second in the 200 yard freestyle.  Vegter placed second in the 200 yd individual medley, with teammate Rightley placing fourth.

There were a lot of entries in the 50 yard freestyle:  Emily Davis placed fourth, and Nafziger took seventh.

In the 100 yd freestyle, again with many contestants, Morrison's Hosford placed second, with Davis sixth and Buckwalter tenth.  The photo shows the beginning of the 100 yd freestyle, with Emily Davis in lane three and Liz Buckwalter in lane 4.

Vegter took second place in the 500 yd freestyle.

Placing second in the 200 yd freestyle relay was the team of Rightley, Nafziger, Hosford, and Davis.

Buckwalter took third in the 100 yard backstroke.  With a strong showing in the 100 yd breaststroke, Nafziger placed first, followed in second place by teammate Rightley.

In the last event of the meet, the Fillies team of Hosford, Vegter, Davis, and Buckwalter took second place in the 400 yd freestyle relay.
