Effective with the 2013-14 season, forfeits in high school wrestling will no longer count toward a wrestler's daily match limit. Currently, wrestlers are limited by rule to five matches in one day.
Shoup Earns Silver at State Finals

Austin Shoup capped off his wrestling season with a runner-up finish at the AAU State Wrestling Tournament held Saturday, March 9, and Sunday, March 10, 2013, in Springfield, IL. Shoup continued his scoring prowess over the weekend stringing together four consecutive wins before being stopped in the finals.

Morrison High School sophomore wrestler Austin Shoup earned himself a trip to the AAU State Wrestling Championships, to be held Saturday, March 9, and Sunday, March 10, 2013, in Springfield, IL. He did so after winning consecutive Championships at the Regional and Sectional Tournaments.
6 Wrestlers Named All-Conference, Team Places Second

Each year the IHSA State Wrestling Tournament serves as a grand spectacle of some the Nation's best wrestlers. Illinois is regarded as one of the top wrestling states in the Nation, and that status is backed by team titles at the National level six years running.
