Irene Duncan, 87, of Rock Falls, IL, died Friday, December 30, 2011.

She was born April 8, 1924, in Superior, WV, the daughter of Burley and Ida (Senter) Poff.  She married William Joseph Duncan on March 18, 1943.   He died October 19, 1999.

Survivors include two daughters, Mary (Dennis) Jacobs of Byron, IL, and Janice (Tom) Karrow of Sterling, IL; four sons, William R. Duncan of Rock Falls, Robert L. Duncan of Sterling, Tomas E. Duncan of Morrison, IL, and Charles W. Duncan of Rock Falls; 36 grandchildren; and 46 great-grandchildren.

She also was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Betty Meinsma.

Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., followed by the funeral at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 3, 2012, at McDonald Funeral Home in Rock Falls.  Burial will be at Oak Knoll Memorial Park in Sterling.
