Ag Marketing Club Meeting

Looking to improve and gain confidence with your grain marketing decisions?  Join the Ag Marketing Club hosted by the University of Illinois Extension – Carroll, Lee, and Whiteside.  The next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, April 17, 2012, at 7:30 p.m.
Meetings will be held at Sauk Valley Community College, Room 2K2, Carroll County Farm Bureau, Lee County Extension Office, and the Whiteside County Extension Office. 

The speaker for April is S. Elwynn Taylor, Professor of Agronomy and Extension Climatology at Iowa State University. Taylor is responsible for statewide leadership in the development and implementation of extension education and information programs in agricultural climatology. Taylor also teachers off-campus graduate and undergraduate courses in Meteorology/Climatology.

He has published several papers in professional science journals as well as the book “The Fate of Anhydrous Ammonia in Iowa Soils”, in 1994.  Taylor has served in consulting capacities on state, federal and military weather projects and has written curriculum for use in high school FFA chapters and agriculture classrooms.
