2007 Year in Review

7th Grade Volleyball

Despite lots of good passing, the girls couldn’t pull off the hoped for win.

The first game saw the most passing. Those with 100% serving were Hannah Gaffey, Erika VanBuren, Kylie Shere, and Taylor Benters. The top server was Billie Conner with 5 pts.

The second game saw the best serving with 95% of the serves going in. The 100% servers were Jessica Wieneke, Allison Renkes, Alyssa Workman, Monica Schipper, and Jade Koch. The top server was Allison Renkes with 9 pts.

In the third game the 100% servers were Morgan DeVorah, Erin Roggy, and Tara Driscoll. Tara Driscoll was top server with 2 pts. and 1 ace.

After a long trip to Tampico the girls had a disappointing finish of winning only 1 game. On the bright side, the passing continues to improve.

In the first game the 100% servers were Jessica Wieneke, Allison Renkes, Rajheen Menendez, and Jade Koch. Jade Koch was the top server with 3 pts. and 1 ace.

In the second game the 100% servers were Billie Conner, Taylor Benters, Erin Roggy, and Tara Discoll.

The 100% servers in game 3 were Madi Cromwell, Erika VanBuren, and Taylor Benters. Erika had an ace. The top server was Taylor Benters with 5 pts.

The girls finished the night with 95% serving and a win in game 4. Those with 100% serving were Kylie Shere and Erika VanBuren. Madi Cromwell had 1 ace and Kylie Shere had 3 aces. The top server of game 4 was Kylie Shere with 4 pts. and 3 aces.

The final game of a busy week was at Erie. The games saw much improvement on moving and getting to the ball. The girls pulled out 3 win out of the 4 games.

In the first game the 100% servers were Maui Calleja, Morgan DeVorah, and Erin Roggy. Those with aces were Hannah Gaffey (2) and Billie Conner (1). The top server was Hannah Gaffey with 7 pts. and 1 ace.

The second game was close, but lost in the final serves. Those with 100% serving were Hannah Gaffey, Kylie Shere, and Taylor Benters. Hannah Gaffey and Samantha Vanderlaan each had 1 ace. The top server was Samantha Vanderlaan with 4 pts. and 1 ace.

In game three the 100% servers were Jessica Wieneke and Rajheen Menendez. Jessica Wieneke was top server with 7 pts. and 1 ace.

In the final game of the day the girls came up with quite a few aces. Those with aces were Rajheen Menedez (2), Morgan DeVorah (1), Monica Schipper (1), and Jade Koch (4). Those with 100% serving were Jade Koch and Rajheen Menedez. Jade Koch was the top server with 10 pts. in a row and 4 of those were aces. Good job today everyone.
