Whiteside County Sheriff's Reports

Traffic Crash
Whiteside County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a two vehicle traffic crash on IL Route 84 at about 6 p.m. Thursday, April 16,2009. Three people were transported to Clinton Mercy Medical Center by Fulton Ambulance Service.
Deborah M. Adams, age 52 of Rockton, IL was north bound on IL. Rt. 84 near the Union Pacific railroad tracks about .2 miles south of US Rt. 30. Adams was stopped in traffic due to a train, when a car driven by Amanda R. Robertson, age 20, of Albany, IL collided with the Adams car.
Robertson and her two small children were taken to the hospital. The children were treated and released. Robertson was cited for Failure To Reduce Speed to Avoid A Traffic Crash. She is scheduled to appear in Whiteside County Court on May 18, 2009. Adams was not injured.
Whiteside County Sheriff deputies were assisted by Fulton Fire, Ambulance and Police and Midwest Towing.

House Fire
Whiteside County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a house fire with the Morrison Fire Department at 19633 Lake Road, rural Morrison, at about 1:40 p.m. on Thursday, April 16, 2009.

According to the report when deputies and fire fighters arrived on the scene, the house was fully engulfed in flames along with the garage. Two tractors, a shed, large hay bale and barn were also on fire as well as the grass around the house. Fulton Fore and Coleta Fire Departments were called to assist.
The owner, Robert Muschal, reportedly was burning trash in the back of the house when the wind changed and caught the house on fire. The fire spread from there. The Morrison Ambulance Service also responded to the scene.

Accident
Whiteside County Deputies investigated a single vehicle accident with one injury on April 17, 2009 at approximately 6:37 a.m.. The accident occurred on West LaFevre Road about 1/4 mile east of McCue Road.
The accident occurred when a car driven by Marin R. Williams, 31, Milledgeville lost control of the vehicle. The car traveled off the roadway and crashed into a utility pole.
Williams was taken to CGH Medical Center.
Assisting at the scene were CGH EMS and the Sterling Fire Department.
