Students Decorate Trees at Wells Fargo

Student from Todd Veltrop's 4th Grade after they decorated a tree at Wells Fargo Bank.

Todd Veltrop’s 4th grade is one of ten classes that will come to Wells Fargo Bank this week to decorate trees in the lobby. Every year the bank brought in a large live tree and decorated it, but this year Barbara Frederick suggested putting up trees for kindergarten through 5th grade classes and having them decorate it. Each class makes decorations in their classrooms, then the students travel by bus to the bank and put their handiwork together.

The bank offers the students drinks and cookies for their efforts. President Gary Hayenga thought it was a neat idea and was excited to see what all the students would produce.

According to Diane Boelkins of Wells Fargo Bank they are donating $250 to Helping Hands and $250 to the Food Pantry in the name of the students. Individual donations to both organizations are being accepted at Wells Fargo.
