Morrison Police Reports 04-03-06

On 03-28-06, at approximately 3:17 p.m., Morrison Police investigated a two-car accident at the entrance to the Whiteside County Courthouse, in the 400 Block of North Cherry Street. A car driven by Ramadan A. Farra, 25, Davenport, Iowa, was exiting the parking lot, when the Farra vehicle was broadsided by a northbound car driven by Alexander J. Rumfelt, 16, Morrison.
There were no injuries reported as a result of the collision. Total damage to both vehicles exceeded $500.
Farra was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, and operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of drugs. Farra is considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

On 03-29-06, at approximately 6:45 a.m., Lyman E. Rumfelt, Morrison, reported that someone had entered his unlocked truck, and stole a wallet and checkbook. The theft occurred some time the previous night, while the Rumfelt truck was parked in the 600 Block of Glenwood Drive.
