Five-of-six Troop 96 Scouts attended a Court of Honor award presentation, on Sunday, August 30, 2026, at Morrison United Methodist Church, 200 W. Lincolnway, Morrison, IL. Caeleb was unable to attend. Scouts were joined by family members for a chili supper. Local American Legion members sponsor the Troop 96 and Cub Scout Pack 328. Bill Brackemyer attended the meeting as Chartered Organization Representative.
Boys earned 30 Merit Badges, from a wide variety of interests.
Four sets of Camp Activities awards were presented.
They received eight other awards.
All six received the Scout Sunday patch.
Based on earlier elections, boys received patches for their new rank or role/office.

Troop Leader Marshall Blevins, below left, described June experiences camping at Tomahawk Scout Camp in Birchwood, WI. He received a camp patch from Scoutmaster Eric Anderson. Parent Volunteer Colleen Nelson (not pictured) also received a summer camp patch.
Boys saw bison; climbed a 130′ fire tower; sailed; swam; tie-dyed a shirt; crafted a monkey fist knot. Blevins and his son Isaac cooked their own meals. The Troop enjoyed activities with nearby campers from Waseca, MN.
